Engineering That's Been on the Line and on the Track
Geared Performance is an automotive engineering and parts company built on a simple idea: the best aftermarket parts come from people who've done this professionally, at a high level, and who drive what they build.
Before founding Geared Performance, I spent my career as a design and manufacturing engineer at companies including Tesla, Rivian, and Vintage Modern, taking automotive components from a blank screen to full production. That means I don't just design parts that look right in CAD. I design parts that can actually be made, with the materials and processes that make sense for your volume and budget. That production-floor discipline is baked into everything that leaves this shop.
Design. Build. Race. It's not just a tagline, it's the process every project goes through.
What We Can Do for You
Reverse Engineering
Have a part that's obsolete, unobtainable, or priced like unobtanium? I'll capture it, model it, and document it so it can be made again or made better. From precise measurement and CAD reconstruction to full manufacturing drawings with tolerances and material callouts, you get a complete digital definition of your part, ready for production.
Typical projects: discontinued OEM components, vintage and classic car parts, engine swap mounts and adapters, damaged parts that need to be remade, and existing parts you want to improve or adapt.
Design Services — Concept to Prototype to Manufacturing
I take projects through the entire development arc:
- Concept & CAD design — 3D models built for revision, not one-off surfaces
- Prototyping — 3D printed and machined prototypes for fit checks, functional testing, and validation before you commit to tooling
- Design for manufacturing — refining the design around the process that will actually produce it: CNC machining, sheet metal, casting, or additive
- Production support — manufacturing drawings, GD&T, material and finish specifications, and supplier-ready documentation
Whether you need a single bracket modeled or a complete product developed from a napkin sketch to a sellable part, the process scales to fit.
Who This Is For
Shops and fabricators who need engineering backup, aftermarket brands developing new products, race teams solving one-off problems, restorers chasing parts that no longer exist, and builders who want their idea turned into metal.
